Services

Adept NDT & Weld Inspection is based in Kent, South East England and offer a fully Insured, professional and competitively priced both structural and non-structural inspection service on site or at your premises. With over 10 years qualified experience we are able to work with you to satisfy your testing requirements. All Adept technicians are qualified to a minimum of PCN Level II satisfying both BS EN and ASME specification demands. We have experienced BGAS-CSWIP welding inspectors available to witness and qualify Weld Procedure Qualification Tests (WPQT) and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT) including British Gas standards.

We also have hot work permit, competent person approved Senior Pipeline Inspectors for hot working on National Grid/Cadent Network lines who are able to perform Q10 Inspection and seam removal/dressing in accordance with the National Grid/Cadent T/SP/P/9 specification.

Inspection & NDT (Non-Destructive Testing)

NDT involves using various test methods, dependant on metallic material type (ferrous or non-ferrous) and configuration, for inspection to a given specification. The methods have been designed to not cause damage to the tested item. Adept have written procedures in accordance with both BS EN and ASME specifications for the following NDT types: -

Destructive Testing

To identify the mechanical properties of a given test item, and as part of the qualification process for procedure and welder qualification, destructive testing can be performed. This will test the item to failure. Adept have written procedures in accordance with both BS EN and ASME specifications and work in association with a UKAS accredited laboratory to offer the following: -

Charpy Impact Testing (ambient and sub zero temperatures)

Weld Procedure and Welder Qualification Testing (WPQT & WQT)

Adept offer a complete and bespoke service. From our initial consultation we will identify your requirements and work with you to develop a preliminary Weld Procedure Specification (pWPS) that will produce the most efficient and comprehensive Weld Procedure Qualification Record (WPQR) possible. We are able to design WPQR and WQT matrix's enabling monitoring of further requirements and re-validating of Welders Qualification to be done with ease. We are able to work in accordance with ASME and BS EN ISO 15614 / 9606 ranges for qualification as well as their superseded specifications. Here at Adept we can also act as or assist with any responsible welding co-ordination (RWC) that is required to satisfy your BS 1090 accreditation.
